IMS-Sr OPS Associate

Performs duties to support client investment management operations, specifically Trade Settlement. The primary responsibility of this position is US Fixed Income, including TBA processing and US Equity trade settlement. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in the following:

* Confirming/affirming trades

* Resolving trade discrepancies

* Sending trade notification to custodians/fund accountants

* Fielding and resolving trade fails ("DKs") with brokers and custodians

* Electronic Pool Notification ("EPN") process

* Standard delivery requirements for government agency securities

Incumbents may perform some of these duties or other tasks requiring similar skills.

1. Setup and maintain more complex databases and client accounts.

2. Process and confirm trades.

3. Research more complex inquiries and issues.

4. Resolves discrepancies and responds to complex matters and inquiries from clients and other departments

5. Ad hoc reporting.

6. Special projects as assigned.

Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. May recommend non-standard resolutions to team management. Focus of job on providing operational support for client accounts. May involve complex data, files, and accounts.

Qualifications:

* TBA experience a must

* Experience in Domestic (US) settlement preferred

* Bachelors degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, or economics or equivalent work experience in finance/accounting.

* 3 plus years related experience.

* Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and problems solving skills.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Computer proficient including spreadsheet and database applications.

* Must be able to prioritize activities.
