Internal Account Executive, Advisor Network

The Advisor Network has an opening for an internal sales representative to help drive our vision and strategy through Registered Investor Advisors. The Internal Account Executive (IAE) will work closely with a Regional Director and the Advisor Business Manager in a specific territory.  A successful IAE must have the ability to understand the RIA and B/D marketplace, be able to communicate SEI?s Investment Philosophy effectively, influence client behavior, and effectively prioritize and manage client responsibilities.  As the primary point of contact for advisors for all issues the scope of this role is highly diverse.  This is primarily an office based role focused on advisors all throughout the US.  The majority of advisor contact is by telephone and online meetings.

 

The Advisor Relationship Executive would be responsible for building relationships with advisors in this segment and for developing sales agendas with targeted advisors.  This will be achieved through various proactive communication methods, responding to questions, providing a high quality client service, and making it easier for advisors to do business with SEI.  The IAE will also be responsible for engaging existing advisors more actively through proactive contact. 

 

This position is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in sales within a team.  It is anticipated that there will be a high degree of contact with other parts of the Advisor Sales Team and other internal teams at SEI.

 

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position may include some or all of the following:

? Helping to increase market share by selling SEI advisors solutions to independent investment advisors, involving end-client wealth management solutions, and advisor business solutions

? Providing strategic and tactical support, product training, client service, and presentations for clients.  The clients will be advisors and end-clients and make take place in person or web-based.  This training will be based on the philosophy of our solutions as well as the implementation of those solutions.

? Providing advisors with case support in terms of competitive and investment analysis to aid advisors to convert assets to SEI.

? Overcoming technical and business objections of advisors

? Investigating and resolving advisor problems

? Working closely with other outside relationship manager in the field

? Handling inbound calls to convert calls into new opportunities

? Making outbound lead follow-up calls to existing clients by telephone and e-mail to drive opportunities to close

? Building and maintaining customer relationships

? Coordinating advisor training

? Coordinating issues and projects with other business units as required

? Participating in market unit initiatives and projects

? Keeping abreast of industry standards and knowledge to be able to communicate with client

? Interacting effectively with other SEI teams

? Other duties as necessary

 

Required Experiences and Skills

? BA/BS degree in business, finance or a related field; or the equivalent in education and work experience

? 3 years experience in the financial services industry

? Knowledge of SEI?s investment products

? Ability to work under pressure

? Excellent customer service and client management skills

? Excellent problem solving skills

? Excellent organizational and analytical skills

? Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

? Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team environment

 

 

Location and Travel

These positions are Oaks based, limited travel, and will report to the Managing Director
