 Internal Communications Manager

 

 The Marketing & Business Development Group consists of nine distinct business units:  Account Services (which includes Client Experience), Banking Services/FMA, Business Development (which includes Private Client Investment Strategy), Business Integration Management, Client Development, Finance/Risk/Data Management, Marketing, Technology & Strategic Projects (which includes Client Technology, Strategic Product Development, FA Technology & Technology Client Experience), & Training & Professional Development.  The Group also engages in special projects as needed, which may include such things as cross-company initiatives and one-time events.  Its focus is varied, widespread and offers the flexibility of a diverse set of project opportunities. 

 

 Job Responsibilities:Manage internal communications and help formulate field strategies for all aspects of the Private Client products and services platform. Collection and sourcing of content as well as the editing and distribution of The Financial Advisor (formerly The Financial Consultant), the Financial Advisor internal communications publication; in addition, the same for Solutions magazine, 4x/year plus at least two Special Editions/year. Partner and collaborate on many departmental, product and field-related projects. Publication of material via SB Linx, E-mails and other sources expected regularly. Align internal business development & communications with business strategies



Job Qualifications:2-15 years of financial services experience with capital markets understanding. BA/BS degree. Series 7 preferred but not required. Branch experience/exposure preferred as well as an understanding of branch dynamics. Knowledge of Smith Barney/Citigroup platform of products & services a plus . Comfortable working with Senior Management and Department/Product Heads. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Creative marketer to the field yet sensitive to the culture and proprietary information. Ability to implement, adjust quickly & be highly responsive to many people on short notice. Potential of limited travel and occasional night/weekend work availability as needed. Presentation skills strongly encouraged with additional development. Interested in future public speaking via SBTV, SB Radio & Conf Calls as warranted. Enjoys ever-changing/varied responsibilities. Must be detail-oriented, energetic and organized. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.  Must be a critical thinker. Sound judgment with writing, editing and computer skills, especially Microsoft Office. Team player, self-starter, results-oriented, flexible and adaptable.
