Internal Wholesaler

Our parent company, Resource America (NASDAQ: REXI) is a specialized asset management company that uses industry specific expertise to generate and administer investment opportunities for its own account and for outside investors in the structured finance, real estate and equipment finance sectors.

LEAF is seeking a highly motivated Internal Wholesaler to join it's Investments Team.

SUMMARY

The position requires a personable, responsible motivated team player, focused primarily on relationship building.  The internal wholesaler adds value to financial professionals who use LEAF?s financial products by being an extension of their own back office, which includes being a dependable source of marketing/sales inspiration and information in order to assist them in retaining current clients and adding new clients to their practice.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProspecting new broker dealer leads within assigned territoryScheduling sales appointments for the external wholesaler (s) in assigned territoryPerforming follow-up activities for outside wholesaler appointmentsProviding sales support to external wholesaler and registered representatives Coordinating sales conferences and seminars for the external wholesalerBecoming very knowledgeable about the company?s products and positioning within an investment portfolioPerform other duties as assigned by management.



ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Support the territory business plan and play a key role in achieving its sales objectives Establish and maintain daily hours that maximize territory opportunitiesMaintain outbound call volume of a minimum of 50 calls per day with 20 live completed contacts per day (including thank you for every order, follow-up for every appt and mailing)Schedule a minimum of 2 qualified appointments per day for each external wholesaler in the assigned territory (approximately ? of their required appointments)Follow-up on all appointments within 2-3 business daysWork with the external wholesaler (s) to update (quarterly) the top producer and prospect lists and maintain the minimum contact frequency as described in the territory planRequest referrals from current producers on every callMaintain regular written communications with top producers and top prospects through holiday cards, birthday cards, thank you cards and gifts if appropriateMaintain inbound call activity and return all calls the same day and at a minimum within 1 business dayProspect new broker dealer rep lists within 30 days of receipt and add relevant data to the data baseEnsure the data base is properly maintained with meeting, call and activity notes, current contact information and your ACT! calendar is kept currentAttend and participate in bi-weekly conference calls (every other Friday, 11:00 a.m. EST)Attend and participate in mandatory periodic due diligence meetings/eventsCollaborate with investor relations on investor and registered representative issuesAct in accordance with NASD, SEC and state securities regulations Maintain the highest level of integrity in representing LEAF Financial Corporation and its investment products to the broker dealer community and investorsMinimum travel to the territory for rep visits and conferencesConduct yourself in accordance with LEAF?s code of business conduct and ethics



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 Sales and marketing experience in the financial securities field Successful track record in a similar position highly desirableLeasing and/or DPP experience a plusNASD Series 22 or 7 license and Series 63 requiredClean U-4 and credit history
