Dynamic, fast-growing investment management firm is seeking a capable investment database engineer to complement the growth of our team. We are located in Newport Beach, a beautiful and cosmopolitan area within Southern California. You will be joining a team of highly-qualified investment professionals with a wide array of core competencies and significant experience in managing portfolios of equity, fixed income, and alternative / real asset investments. Ample opportunity is available for talented individuals to grow with the management team and to contribute to the success of the organization.
Responsibilities
? Develop and maintain database software for monitoring and managing investments
? Automate manual processes through system development and implementation
? Perform data manipulation and reporting to support analysts and fund managers with custom software
? Ensure data integrity, security and recovery
Qualifications
? BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or Science
? 2+ years of experience in database and software development preferred
? Experience with the following languages: C++, SQL, Microsoft Visual Basic
? Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery as well as database security
? Demonstrable skills in algorithm development, code implementation and problem solving
? Strong technical skills, attention to details, and eagerness to excel in a dynamic fast-growing team
? Experience with MATLAB and JAVA is preferred but not required
? Experience in finance or investment firms is preferred but not required
