CIT has an immediate openings for Loss Mitigation Specialists.  Position will be responsible for contacting customers regarding their delinquent mortgages in order to determine best course of action.  Obtaining information from customer and analyzes to determine possible solutions in order to bring account current.  Will deal closely with Foreclosure specialist, Bankruptcy specialist and attorneys.  Will also perform skip tracing on customers that we have no contact information on.  Will provide management with accurate projections and status updates on queue throughout the month.

 

Qualified candidate must be a production oriented individual interested in achieving department and team goals.  Good negotiation and analytical skills necessary.  2 plus years of mortgage servicing experience and/or 2 plus years of collections, preferably in the Loss Mitigation area or the equivalent.  Strong negotiating and excellent communication skills required as well as customer service skills and Microsoft Word, Excel required.
