MANAGING DIRECTOR, CUSTODY & TRUST

A Rochester New York based asset management firm with approximately $11 billion in assets under management and over 35 years experience is currently recruiting for a Managing Director - Custody & Trust. This position will direct the firm's custody and trust business, including responsibility for business development, quality of services and pursuit of the Firm's strategic objectives. Candidates should have the business acumen, creativity and expertise in the personal trust/high net worth market to drive firm assets to the next level.

 

Responsibilities:

 

-  Work with senior management of the Firm to expand, drive and manage the personal trust administration business, with a focus on business development, and on-going sales support within the Firm?s direct and third party distribution channels.

 

-  Utilize technical knowledge and experience with respect to personal trust regulations and practices to support business development objectives, including assisting clients and prospects on alternative strategies consistent with the Firm?s products and services.

 

-  Oversee the day-to-day operations, client service and business development efforts for trust and custody.

 

-  Oversee staffing and personnel decisions within trust and custody.

 

 

Qualifications:

-  Bachelor?s business related degree with 8 ? 10 year?s experience in a senior role within a trust company or organization offering personal trust services.

 

-  Experience in business development and client service.

 

-  A history of driving organizational change and asset growth.

 

-  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting at the executive board level.

 

- Strong supervision skills.
