Manager, Business Planning

Warner Bros. Studio Facilities Inc. seeks a Manager, Business Planning for the Business Planning department. Provides division-wide operating standards for WBSF, including business process standards, baseline billing standards, upload standards, and project justification requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvement by employing operational changes and/or information technology. Scope of responsibilities includes representing WBSF and its departments from an operational perspective to oversee 3rd-party software application implementation, billing information requirements definition and interfacing requirements of new systems to the general ledger. Coordinate and collaborate with WBSF departments, Financial Operations, and MIS, GBSI, CFI and WBPG to maximize WBSF?s operating effectiveness, efficiency, and internal controls. Reviews and recommends revisions to the business process to create/improve a streamlined functional business unit. Analyzes and evaluates WBSF departmental operations and recommends operational process and internal control improvements. Investigates and addresses inquiries from senior management and WBSF departments. Includes written and verbal communication in regards to requests for investigation of facts and conditions. Gathers functional requirements and develops project plans to implement solutions using project management methodology and templates. Manages and mentors 1 Senior Business Analyst. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Bachelor?s degree in relevant area (e.g. Business Administration, Finance). MBA preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient project manager, responsible for monitoring, reporting on and controlling project progress and successfully completing projects (on time and within budget). Capable and flexible enough to work on projects of varying size and complexity that require varying degrees of perspective (macro versus micro). Ability to work independently and know when to communicate with colleagues to provide updates, follows up, and obtains assistance, etc. Experience in evaluating, managing and managing business process and/or changes (e.g., retail, inventory management, manufacturing/job costing, rental, and services), or implementation of multi-faceted projects of equivalent scale and complexity. Project management with full responsibility for complete deliverables. Proficient in process flow analysis and recommends revisions to processes to improve productivity and efficiency. Working knowledge of (a) financial statements and interrelationships with feeder systems and consolidations, and (b) internal controls. Entertainment experience a plus, especially in production. Experience working with a high level of autonomy. Successful in supervising, training, mentoring and managing staff. Successful in managing technical and non-technical teams that do not have a direct reporting relationship. 5 years in business process consulting or project management . General accounting knowledge (e.g. general ledger, receivables, payables, purchasing, commitments, inventory, etc.). CPA and/or Project Management Certification a plus. Ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, management and customers. Self-starter and innovative thinker. Commitment to producing accurate, reliable, high quality work in a timely manner. Genuine interest in dealing with personnel that possess varying levels of systems expertise. Successfully manage multiple/high volume assignments and changing priorities. Commitment to ?get the job done? Desire to mentor staff and guide their professional development.
