Managing Director, Head of Advisors Inner Circle Business

Position Summary

The Investment Manager Services unit, part of the Money Manager Segment has a position available for a Managing Director and head of their Advisors Inner Circle Business.  This role is responsible for developing and managing an efficient client service model for investment management firms within the AIC program with the goal of total client satisfaction and retention, as well as overseeing current and future product direction for this business line.  The Managing Director has responsibility for the integration of services provided by various competency groups both within and external to SEI.  Additionally, the MD acts as a liaison between the business unit and the SEI II board of Trustees, advocating SEI initiatives, presenting client business, and facilitating general client / board relationship development.  The Managing director will have oversight of a team of client service personnel responsible for daily client management and relationship development that can include alternative and separate account products serviced by SEI. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the P/L of this business and the strategy of moving these clients to our broader solution set of Total Operational Outsourcing.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12-15 years financial service industry experience, working knowledge of investment manager business models, an understanding of the regulatory environment, experience presenting and dealing with the board of trustees, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

 Responsible to the EPS Segment Head the effective management of the business unit including the client service model as measured by overall client retention and asset growthDirect the Trust Product Manager in defining business requirements, ensuring product quality, and new product developmentBuild executive level relationships within client organizationsDevelop an intimate knowledge of client businessesOversee the development and maintain, at least annually, client business plansOwn the P&L for the business and direct the ownership for client relationships with a goal of continuous efficiency improvementsSupport new business development as the AIC program expertDevelop a working relationship with the board of trusteesChampion client business initiatives before the board of trusteesRefine and implement the client experienceProvide leadership to all core competencies and outsource relationships servicing the AIC ProgramManage client service team, providing goal setting and coaching on professional development

 

RequirementsBachelors degree, preferably in business or Law degree12-15 years experience in the financial services industryUnderstanding / experience with investment manager business modelsStrong interpersonal skillsSuperior communication skills both verbal and writtenExperience to strategic planning experiencesProven negotiation skillsTravel required
