Retail Segment Manager

 

 

MANDATE: 

Primary responsibilities include embedding our segment scheme in our marketing, product, sales and market activities; initiating and executing segment focused marketing/sales strategies and tactics; and building our segment knowledge base, with the goal of improving the acquisition rate and client experience of our target segments and increasing target segment revenues.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Embed segment scheme

o  Complete communication plan regarding (new) segment scheme

o  Develop and deliver insights from segment economics effort

o  Co-ordinate roll-out of retail segment financials

 

? Initiate and execute segment focused strategies and tactics

o  Develop the client strategy of target segments, including defining the segment value proposition

o  Translate segment strategy in to actionable tactics and support execution

o  Create annual segment priorities and ensure individual segment strategies are aligned and coordinated across functional areas and markets

o  Provide input/influence into the:

? development of LOB business objectives

? overall marketing and merchandising plan

 

? Build segment knowledge base

o  Develop insights and act as subject matter expert/authority for the:

? client (economics and attitudes/preferences)

? competitive landscape/offerings

? current and emerging trends

o  Act as CFC relationship manager

o  Utilize Marketing KPI report and other reports to develop a scorecard for measuring progress and success

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

? MBA or advanced degree

? 5+ years of marketing or product experience; retail banking experience preferred

? Exceptional strategic marketing skills

? Strong strategy and strategic planning skills and proven expertise in implementing customer focused strategies

? Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication and presentation skills

? Demonstrate personal values consistent with the Mission and Values of the organization
