Job Description: Do you have a minimum of 3 years experience with government and conventional Underwriting and automated Desktop underwriting?

We are seeking a Senior Retail Mortgage Underwriter open for our Reston Virginia office.

Conduct an in-depth review of all documentation to ensure full compliance with company and/or investor guidelines.

Underwrite loans and evaluate risk to ensure a sound and prudent decision.

Analyze appraisal to determine the subject represents acceptable collateral.

Assist all production personnel with questions on policies and procedures.

Insure that loan files are reconciled with any applicable automated underwriting findings.

Maintain individual manuals and guidelines for all programs.

Provide Underwriting Manager/Assistant Manager with all requested reporting information.

Review questionable credit files with MS Office Suite and Internet experience.

Proven strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
