Sales Position Title: Mortgage Consultant-Sales 

 

Nexstar Financial Corporation, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a Bank of America company and a leading business process outsourcer in the home finance market. Using it's unique and highly scalable technology platform, Nexstar originates and processes home financing (mortgage) loans for a growing number of well known, nationwide and regional lenders. To support this business, Bank of America is seeking a Mortgage Consultant- Sales Representative in the St. Charles, MO division.

 

Role Summary or Scope for Sales Position:

 

The MC 3/5 primary role is to provide support for new and existing customers.  This position is responsible for accurate set up of the client?s application in Nexstar?s system, conditioning the loan to meet investor and Nexstar guidelines, and relaying the conditions of the loan to the borrower.  Responsible for all responding to rate inquires that the borrower may have both at the time of application and throughout processing. Also responsible for responding to any questions that the borrower may have in relation to the mortgage application or rates. Must be able to partner with Fulfillment representatives to ensure each borrower receives the highest level of Service possible throughout the loan transaction.


Essential Functions:
? Enter application data with high degree of data integrity as well as ability to structure deal correctly to ensure that underwriting results are accurate. 
? Condition the loan to meet investor and Nexstar guidelines so that transaction meets all risk parameters
? Consult borrowers regarding the terms of the loan and the status of the loan. 
? Provide excellent customer service.
? Provide inbound support for customer by being able to type notes into computer, with 90% accuracy while customer is on the phone.
? Move to market speed and pick up the technology necessary to provide inbound customer support as call center volume demands.
? Must be willing to work shifts.

? Enter client application data into system accurately and structured correctly to ensure underwriting decision is correct. Timeliness is important due to the client pricing considerations.
? Condition the loan and relay conditions to customer.  Set expectations with customer regarding the next steps of the process and the appropriate timelines.
? Quote product rates and terms
? Mortgage products, guidelines, and terms
? Customer pre-qualification analysis
? Customer?s product and rate analysis
? Application taking process
? System expertise from point of sale contact through application completion
? Work with manager to identify areas for improvement, through call monitoring, daily, monthly production numbers, etc.
? Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, Internet and fax, providing a high level of customer service
? Document each contact thoroughly and accurately to ensure quality service as other agents work the file.
? Other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications (Skills, Experience and Education): 
1) 1-3 years prior mortgage sales experience with emphasis on developing new business & ability to close sales.
2) 1+ years of prior telephone experience/Call center environment-shift work is required 
3) Financial Aptitude (Understanding of financial products and services) 
4) Computer Skills or Technical aptitude
