Job Description: Mortgage Wholesale Underwriting Assistant
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Review all conditions on loans that are conditionally approved by the Underwriters and update Control Z accordingly.
* Communicate status and/or problems to brokers/correspondents and coordinate getting loans to closing department.
* Respond to general requests from Underwriters to make changes or update status'.
* Field general questions from brokers/correspondents regarding program questions, status on loans, etc.
* Transmit loan data to DU, DO, or LP as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
* At least 1 year of Mortgage Processing experience.
* Accurate data entry skills with knowledge of DU and LP.
* Excellent organizational skills and communication skills. Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.
