Mutual Fund Trading Manager
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Performs various mutual fund trading activities including trading, variance research and maintenance, liaise with client services and new accounts departments to perform daily added asset allocations, cashiering and liquidation requests. Must be a fast learner and work well in a dynamic, growing and changing environment.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
? Daily Downloads
? Research and analyze daily variance & trading reports
? Trading & rebalancing
? Verify daily trades
? Strategy changes, TIK?s, closings, liquidations and other cashiering and maintenance
? Fund family relations
? Database maintenance
? Create new processes when necessary to establish a more bulletproof and efficient workflow
? Enforce and support current protocols with trading staff
? Performance and data issues main point of contact
? Working with set up of new trading and variance software platform
? Trading group creation, maintenance & management (restricted funds, new groups, merges, etc.)
? Represent department in trading/client service weekly meetings
? Special projects as assigned or requested
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
? Bachelor?s degree
? At least 2 years back office financial operations experience
? Experience with MS Office suite
? Good mathematical and problem solving skills
? Attention to detail
? Experience working in a high-stress, deadline-driven environment
? Supervisory experience a plus
