New Business Representative play a very critical role in our company's ability to service customer accounts. New Business Reps. review annuity and life insurance applications. In this position you will learn the basics of annuity and life insurance administration. New Business Reps. usually start as trainees but individuals with experience dealing with annuity and life insurance applications could start at a higher level. Trainees and Reps. process applications, review the quality of work that has been entered into the processing systems, respond to phone calls from customers and agents, and prepare correspondence. Sr. Reps. and Professional Reps. get involved with assisting Team Leaders and the Manager with overflow and special projects. They will also conduct policy audits. Reps with familiarity with medical terms will be more involved with "Jet Issue" of policies.

 

Requirements

Individual can be hired into Americo at the Trainee, Representative or Sr. Rep. level depending on their background and qualifications. Trainees - must have good computer skills, ability to type 40 wpm, good 10 key skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply. Candidates will have at least 2 years of office related work experience. Prior experience working in insurance is preferred but not mandatory. College degree is preferred but not mandatory and may substitute for experience. Reps. must have the same basic office skills as Trainees and have 3 years of experience in an insurance administrative processing related environment. Degree is preferred but not mandatory and may substitute for some experience. Sr. Rep. must have the same office skills as Trainees and at least 4 years of experience working in an insurance processing related environment. Sr. candidates must have the ability to process multiple and complex transactions. Degree is preferred but not mandatory. Education may substitute for some experience. Internal candidates do not have to select a particular title when applying.
