Office Associate (Client Associate/ Sales Assistant)

This is an entry-level position in which the individual has an opportunity to learn about the brokerage business while assisting the branch with basic office and clerical functions that contribute to the overall efficiency of the staff, FCs and the office as a whole. Clerical responsibilities may include faxing, word processing, mass mailings, photocopying, answering phones and other such administrative duties.

Major Job Accountabilities
1. Provide clerical/administrative assistance as needed to individuals within the branch including, but not limited to, Financial Consultants, Client/Investment Associates, Branch Operations Associate(s) and Receptionist. These duties may comprise up to 40 percent of this position?s responsibilities.
2. Actively seek out and develop a working knowledge of branch office procedures and a basic understanding of the securities business. Participate in Client Associate training conference calls.
3. Provide telephone coverage when and where needed.
4. Assist on special projects as needed (e.g. mailings, etc.).
5. Type letters and memos as requested.
6. Perform miscellaneous duties as requested (e.g. filing, copying, faxing, maintenance of office research, etc.)

Other Responsibilities May Include
* Handle incoming/outgoing mail.
* Maintain office equipment.
* Maintain office supplies.
* Maintain required compliance files (e.g. correspondence, CPPs, etc.).
