Operations Officer - Process Improvement

Job Summary   This role will focus on being a champion for change through process improvement with the result of implementing initiatives to increase the efficiency and customer experience of our business units. This function will span from identification and validation of improvement opportunities, to presenting and communication recommendations, to the collaborative execution and implementation of the improvements. The position is for a process analysis professional with proven research, analytical, problem solving, and team work skills.
Lead operational interviews with various managers and departmental representatives.
Gather business specifications with a focus on process analysis and reengineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
Work with senior management to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
Prepare documentation and presentations on project findings, recommendations, deliverables and project plans.
Lead project team to implement agreed improvements
Monitor project progress and communicate project results
Oversee, mentor and direct other team members on projects 
Conduct and lead research and analysis using database, spreadsheets, graphs, work flow tools, etc.


Must display a high level of professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be flexible in the face of change and possess the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
BS/BA degree is required and 7-9+ years of practical business experience with increasing responsibility.
Proven experience in operations analysis and project implementation
Strong presentation and communication skills required with the ability to articulate issues to senior management.
Proficient with Windows and Microsoft applications. Experience with PowerPoint & Visio is a plus
Good understanding Financial Services Industry. Insurance & Annuity experience is a plus.
