Operations Specialist II

Position Description: The Physical Corporate Actions Specialist is responsible for presenting to transfer agents and receiving physical certificates relating to all aspects of corporate reorganization (tenders, mergers, redemptions, reverse splits, conversions warrant and exercises) as well as re-registrations.  Follow up calls are made to agents for updates and maintenance of the Corporate Actions database as well as to expedite the transactions and have securities returned to the Corporate Actions vault as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:
-Utilize 5 day Cash Maturity Projection Report  as well as notifications from Corporate Actions, New Jersey to identify and perform all  aspects of reorganization transactions
-Utilize BBH online system to research securities positions and movements within accounts
-Communicate with transfer agents to ascertain documentation needed for individual actions before presenting certificates to agents
-Utilize BBH online system (TCS) to create vault movements to send securities to transfer agents 
-Aggressive follow up with transfer agents to ensure that certificates are received timely
-Update Corporate Actions database with current status on securities out at the Transfer Agent
-Communicate current status to account managers
-Work closely with Corporate Actions NJ to ensure that proceeds for redemption are applied to accounts timely
-Update daily production reports
-Adhere to current procedures and assist in implementing additional procedures within the department which will help to eliminate exposure

Requirements;

-Associates Degree, preferably business/finance or 2-3 years industry experience
-Must be accurate and have the ability to work under pressure while paying attention to detail
-Must be able to work independently and have ability to prioritize
-Proven record of initiative and achievement
-Strong analytical skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-PC skills
-Must be proactive
-Must possess strong problem solving skills
