Job Description: Basic Function: Prepare comprehensive financial plan reports and preliminary recommendations for Financial Planners. Provide technical support to Financial Consultants and assist field financial planners as needed. Produce/review financial priorities reports and provide support to Financial Consultants in the delivery process.
Responsibilities:
Assess documentation and input pertinent information in financial planning system. Discuss status of plans in progress and work directly with Financial Planners to ensure appropriate data has been included to complete planning models. Make appropriate recommendations relative to client's planning strategy and goals in the areas of asset allocation, insurance, retirement planning, estate planning, etc. Prepare preliminary and final plan reports for Financial Planners ensuring quality control. Participate in client meetings as directed by field planners. Create queries and ad hoc reports as requested. Record and monitor planning activity and productivity. Communicate with Financial Planning Management regarding planning activities. Recommend ways to improve use and distribution of products.Assist in product management and promotion. Participate in regional meetings to promote planning services. Provide technical assistance and support as it relates to existing Investment Ggroup clients. Provide technical assistance and training on software to various user groups. Position entails external and internal client interaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience. CFP preferred or required within a period of 3 years. Series 7 or 6, 63 and Insurance licenses preferred. Three to five years sales, financial services experience preferred. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with financial planning software and analysis. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Self motivated, well organized individual with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
