Part-Time Funding Specialist

CITY: Cedar Rapids STATE: Iowa COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Process funding associated with new booking, refunds, and vender/syndication program payoffs via checkwriter, wire transfers, ACH transfers or manual checks as required
* Process miscellaneous disbursements associated with the business, such as security deposit returns, third party payments, etc.
* Preparing the evening Fed Ex packages
* Perform maintenance and miscellaneous tasks associated with checkwriter function
* Cross-train on other portfolio support tasks
* Communicate department policies, changes and new procedures to customers, venders, businesses, and internal business units/departments
* Perform tasks associated with implementing information related to new programs and acquisitions
* Research portfolio support questions from customers or internal departments
* Work with banks, operating centers and customers to resolve process related issues
* Reliable attendance is an essential job function as processes are deadline critical
* Meet/exceed targeted goals and service standards
* Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a professional demeanor
* Excellent communication skills-interpersonal, verbal, and written
* Self starter; attention to detail; accurate and well organized
* Strong problem solving, analytical and mathematical skills
* Focused on process improvements and quality
* Able to positively embrace change
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and high pressure situations to be able to meet daily deadlines
* Strong work ethic demonstrated through attendance, individual and team commitments
* Professional phone mannerisms, ability to listen and probe, determine root causes and resolve issues quickly
* Ability to work with computerized systems - proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and the web
* Ability to cooperate and build positive, productive relationships with customers and team members
* Ability to remove emotion from situations and resolve conflict

Desired:
* Previous work (preferably in customer service) in a leasing, financial services, or call center environment
* 2-4 year college degree
* Experience with other Microsoft applications
* Previous reporting experience

General:
Hours: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Approximately 22-25 hours per week
