SUMMARY:
We are seeking a versatile individual with investment advisory experience, technical skills, problem solving skills, and mathematical skills. This motivated individual will have multiple responsibilities and will work closely with a team of Performance Analysts and management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performance Responsibilities
a. Conducts daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly procedures and quality control checks on portfolio accounting systems.
b. Maintains client accounts on an outside portfolio accounting system.
c. Set up and maintenance of consolidated performance reports for households.
d. Works with vendors and other departments to enhance performance reports.
e. Participates in performance report production, analyzes performance outliers and tests performance reports.
f. Analysis and resolution of special account situations.
g. Provides customer service to Financial Advisors and CRA?s.
h. Assists with training as necessary and performs other duties as assigned.
2. Project Responsibilities
a. Assists Performance Analysts and management in Performance Monitoring with projects. May take leadership role in large projects, including managing projects from beginning to end.
b. Drafts documentation, including department procedures, that result from the project.
c. Writes test scripts and tests new functionality, procedures, or other items that are the expected results of the project.
d. Utilizes Microsoft Excel to manipulate data from the portfolio accounting system, create efficiencies, and automate workflow.
e. Tests new functionality with existing software and performs backup trading work or other work as necessary.
f. Works with management to develop and generate metrics for Performance Monitoring department.
g. Provides recommendations and action plans for improvements to the department.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting and 3 ? 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting capacity. Series 7 and 66 licensed or the ability to obtain within 12 months. Investment advisory experience preferred but not required.
2. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required and knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred.
3. Prior experience with Checkfree APL and TTS (Beta) preferred and knowledge of AIMR concepts and GIPS standards would be ideal.
4. Ability to work independently and within a team, relating to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.
5. Strong analytical skills with ability to perform advanced calculations, report preparation, and data compilation.
6. Ability to tolerate peak workloads, multiple assignments, and produce results. Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Versatility and ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks. Demonstrated time management and written and verbal communication skills.
8. Must be available for report testing and other quarter end activities. Involves occasional weekends and late nights.
