Description
Morgan Stanley Investment Management offers support to the Portfolio Managers through the Portfolio Manager Support Team. The Associate in this position will join our Portfolio Manager Support Team and support the Investment Team in all functions necessary to provide the Portfolio Managers with data to manage the portfolios. This position requires the drive and strategic vision to map out the optimal reporting processes and infrastructure needed to support the business. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation and verification of Portfolio Manager Reporting, cash management and other reports. This individual will work closely with the Operations Team, the Traders, and the Investment Team to ensure that all our internal and external clients? needs are being met. Key Initial Responsibilities Include:
? Maintain, modify and develop anew the various daily financial reports utilized by the Investment Team.
? Gain a detailed understanding of the data, including corresponding sources, used to produce the reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness of report delivery.
? Develop an understanding of all functions of the New York operations team.
? Build a partnership with the Investment Team and Traders to ensure that quality service is delivered while mitigating operational risk.
? Support the growth of the business through teamwork and by developing and implementing innovative solutions.



Skills Required
* Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, Finance or related field.
* Five years industry experience in portfolio management support or client service.
* Experience in all aspects of financial reporting and planning process.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Suites
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Effective teamplayer.
