Portfolio Banker
A Major Financial Service Corporation, located in New York City, is looking for a Portfolio Banker to proactively manage the combined Corporate and Investment Bank credit portfolios.
Responsibilities include:
Interface with origination and product specialists, credit approvers, and legal counsel throughout the process of structuring, pitching, negotiating, diligencing, approving and booking credit transactions for all assigned customer relationships.
Monitor all extensions of credit under assigned credit relationships, track industry trends and developments, anticipate credit issues and actively manage risk through selling exposure in the secondary market or hedging through credit derivatives.
In conjunction with analysts and associates prepare credit reviews, transaction memos and contribute to sector reviews.
Train and mentor analysts and associates.
At least 7 years of credit-related commercial banking experience.
Formally credit trained, solid knowledge of accounting and corporate finance.
Knowledge of credit and banking products.
Strong analytical, written and presentation skills.
Experience with client interaction.
