Principal, Investment Banking

Position summary:  Primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with relevant investment and corporate communities with a focus on the pitching and execution of all types of transactions.

 

Position responsibilities:  Corporate FinancePitch and execute all types of transactions at the firm (across all products)Primary calling officer responsibilitiesProduct GroupsBasic familiarity and ability to credibly market all of firm?s products and servicesShare in origination responsibility and proactive support of corporate finance bankersDevelop strong relationships in relevant communities (i.e. private investors for private placements; accounting and legal experts for M&A, etc.)All GroupsProfitable revenue generationEstablish meaningful relationships in the VC, investment and corporate communityLead role in recruiting efforts to bring talent into the firm?Sounding board? responsibility for career development and job issues for junior bankersTeamwork and community service (recruiting, reviews, mentoring, firm committees)New Business: Demonstrated record of identifying, sourcing, creating and executing new business opportunities (all products including private equity); able to differentiate TWP from competitors; exercises good judgment in assessing risks and rewards of new business opportunities.Leadership Qualities:  Take active role in building of firm?s business, both internally and externally; is a good role model and mentor internally and seeks out opportunities to build and enhance firm?s brand and reputation externally.
