Position Description:
Product Analyst
SUMMARY
Makes recommendations to enable the Product Manager in making informed decisions regarding a product program's success, failure, or upgrade opportunities. Gathers and analyzes data for product program evaluation and conducts regular product program reviews and assessments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as group expert on business data and provide ongoing review for data integrity
Develop and manage the market and competitive intelligence tools and information including vendor research, review and recommendation
Obtain working knowledge of all products and services used for the delivery, monitoring, tracking and reporting of market data
Provide support to the product development initiatives and potential to serve as lead project manager for some projects.
Participate in development of business and data requirements for new origination system implementation
Gathers, analyzes, assesses, and manages product program offerings (Pricing, Policy, Positioning, and Profitability)
Monitors key metrics and competitive market forces
Maintains SME (Subject Matter Expertise) on a product program's processes
Maintains SME on a product program's competitive landscape and product offerings
Maintains SME on a product program's performance and profitability
Performs regular product program reviews
Leadership and support role of strategic and tactical initiatives as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 ? 5 years related work experience

SKILLS
Solid problem solving and analytical skills
Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
Solid business knowledge as it relates to the consumer credit business
Robust knowledge of Business Objects, MS Excel and Word, SQL a plus
Ability to extract, manage and merge data to make informed assessments and recommendations
Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills
