Product Consultant - ULSG

Summary of ResponsibilityAssist Senior Product Consultants in new product development and inforce management efforts on all Universal Life Secondary Guarantee (ULSG) products to ensure delivery of proper policyholder services to both agency and independent distribution.  Provide support on all product matters on all ULSG products both those currently being sold as well as historical products.  Work closely with other areas of the Company especially Life Administration, Remittance Services and Claims services to ensure accurate and consistent support for inforce ULSG policies.  Assist with Identification, research, and coordination of appropriate resolution of defects and enhancements for inforce block of ULSG products.  Assist in developing and communicating ULSG inforce product changes and procedures to all affected areas in the Enterprise.

 The department will be focused on delivering expertise and support on all products by implementing superior support to maximize MetLife?s value from the in-force block of business. 

Principal Responsibilities:

Support Senior Product Consultant Inforce Management in efforts to:? Resolve problems and exception requests? Implement service improvements? Manage system enhancement/defect correction process? Management of exchange and other special programs? Management of inforce data collection and analysisSupport Senior Product Consultant Product Lead in efforts to:? Coordinate product development process? Create and maintain product management specifications? Review of IT specifications? Development of product related communications

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:1. Must possess and demonstrate strong project management skills.2. Must possess excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills for coordinating and monitoring deliverables and status.3. Universal Life with Secondary Guarantee product knowledge.4. Ability to manage/influence without authority.5. Understand and participate in the Company?s product development process6. Must understand inforce administrative systems, implications of defects and communication/coordination of defect resolution. .

 

 Dimensions:1. Support of the in-force block of business is essential in meeting the Enterprise?s profitability goals and the goal of attaining 100 million customers.2. Contribute to overall Company profitability goals by supporting and maintaining universal life insurance products with secondary guarantees that maximize the value created for the company. 3. Contribute to the continuous improvement process with a goal of speed-to-market efficiency improvements.  Look for innovative ways to streamline inforce process for economies of scale
