Product Manager III

Summary of Responsibilities:  Has overall responsibility for one or more of the firm?s larger and highly complex investment products.   Responsibilities include independently initiating, leading, developing, managing, and promoting the sales for the most complex projects or with the most visible/important investment products; data gathering, analysis, and preparation of presentation materials; and the preparation of response materials (RFP?s) for assigned investment products.

 

Job Duties:

 Product ManagementResponsible for: defining competitive market requirements and opportunities; developing new products and providing ongoing support to ensure the competitiveness of existing assigned investment products.Independently completes moderately complex projects and studies.Coordinates marketing, sales, relationship management, product specialists, operations, and technology staff to effectively support and promote assigned products.MarketingIndependently initiates and or leads marketing programs and research projects to support assigned investment products.Works closely with investment management and sales staff in developing new products and in implementing new marketing approaches on the most complex products or on the most visible or important investment products.Provides guidance and support to more junior staff, but has no formal supervisory responsibility.Specific Assignments would include:  Request for ProposalCompletes assigned tasks such as data gathering, data analysis, and preparation of response materials.Typically completes the larger and more complex RFPs and consultant questionnaires that may require additional research, analysis, creativity, and judgment. Responsible for creating and/or updating the firm?s profile on consultant databases.Responsible for maintaining a portion of the Firms standard RFP database.

 

Qualifications:

 Excellent knowledge and understanding of the asset management business and investment products and thorough knowledge of the RFP consultant questionnaire response process.Six or more years of product management or relevant marketing experience.Minimum of Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Finance or related field with a Master?s Degree or CFA Certification.
