Product/Sales Specialist – Retirement Income Products

Position Description:

Specific duties:

Product Analysis
? Research and analysis of existing Genworth and non-Genworth registered Insurance products sold through B/D. Analysis to included various parameters, i.e. risk, performance, style and credit.
? Subject matter expert for all registered product information and analysis.
? Primary focal point for internal and external (Representative) inquiries
? Comparative research in support of Sales efforts
? Detailed analysis of riders

Competitive Intelligence
? Gather and disseminate all relevant new and existing product information from GNW and 3rd party providers
? Track market and competitive sales trends - report out to SLT
? Work closely with Genworth Financial Competitive Intelligence team in Richmond - virtual team member, leverage breadth and depth.


New Product Approval Process
? Manage new product approvals based on risk and suitability analysis of products
? Manage all Rep requests for new product additions including requests from recruiting efforts or existing representatives
? Manage and maintain product approval process - conduit for all product vetting before product available within the system
? Maintain detailed tracking of product sales

Education and Training
? Prime contact for all training and education from Product providers
? Drive Teleconference and in-person training and education for internal and external personnel focusing on comparatives to GNW products
? Manage all content on Website relating to Genworth and 3rd party products
? Educate staff on strengths and weakness of competitive products

Basic Candidate Qualifications:
Undergrad. BS/BA
2-5 years Registered product Sales experience - particularly VA's
5-7 years Financial Services Industry exposure;
Excellent analytical skills coupled with savvy written, presentation/communication and team abilities (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Series 6 or 7 licensed
Solid understanding of Securities and Insurance sectors
