Product Taxation Manager

SunTrust Bank is currently seeking a Manager of Product Taxation in our Corporate Tax Department  in Atlanta, GA.

 

This is an income tax position.  This position will oversee the development, implementation and coordination of policies and strategies for product tax compliance (e.g., IRS Forms 1099, 1098); provide guidance and technical support to Accounts Payable and Payroll functions with respect to tax withholding and reporting issues; advise senior management of the potential product tax, client relations and other implications of legislative and regulatory developments pertaining to product taxation and employment tax reporting and withholding; keep current on regulatory and industry developments; work with tax authorities and industry groups on proposed regulations and legislation.

 

We are seeking candidates with a JD Degree, or CPA plus Masters in Taxation and a minimum of 8 years of relevant tax experience, some involving information reporting.  In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations and rulings required.  Candidate must have the ability to develop and manage business relationships within and outside the company.  Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills are required.
