MJL Partners is a proprietary investment firm specializing in a range of securities services including equity proprietary trade execution and clearing, prime brokerage, and institutional sales. MJL Partners maintains its execution and clearing relationship exclusively with a top tier professional clearing corporation whereby gaining access to one of the world?s leading financial management and advisory companies.

 

Principal Duties:

 

? Candidates will be responsible for the distribution and trading of equity securities. Traders will buy and sell securities for individual proprietary accounts, (capital commitment is required and negotiable based on experience and trading volume). Exceptional performance will merit an opportunity to trade the firm?s capital along side their own investments.

 

? Candidates are expected to maximize the use of individual and firm capital commitments while continuously evaluating trading positions and maintaining effective risk exposure/control. 

 

? Candidates will be expected to pitch equity investment ideas on a regular basis.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

 

? Candidates are expected to exhibit solid competitive analysis and industry research skills

? Candidates will be expected to participate and eventually lead trading strategy and development meetings for the team.

? Candidates are expected to monitor daily market activity and communicate new ideas to the team.

? Candidates will constantly analyze the value of the portfolio to build on profits and curtail losses.

? Candidate must have the ability to commit capital and understand the inherent risks of proprietary trading.

? The best candidates will posess analytical skills, innovation and a solid understanding and interest in the financial markets.
