Purchasing Manager

Alaron Trading is a Chicago-based futures commission merchant with a highly diversified client base.  We offer full service, broker assist and self-directed trading accounts. Alaron?s vision is to provide financial services that fulfill the dreams of our lifelong customers.  We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager who will play an important role in helping us achieve the goals within our Purchasing Department. 

 

The Purchasing Manager will focus on sourcing products and services to run business efficiently and cost- effectively.  Qualified candidates will possess the following: 3-5 years management experience in Purchasing or Vendor Contract Negotiation, and a B.A. /B.S. in Business Administration, Purchasing or other related field required.

The ideal candidate will set up a purchase order process, negotiate with vendors, and implement a system for employees to obtain the goods and services they need.  Well-developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential. Presence and credibility in interacting with all levels of management and financial professionals is needed.  Certified Procurement Management (CPM) designation is preferred.
