QC HMDA Analyst

Primary Characteristics:

To monitor and evaluate performance of HMDA data collection in all business units of EFC and reports final results to senior management. Perform monthly audits of HMDA data reflected in the LAR (Loan Application Register) as compared to the loan file for all EFC business units. Report findings to management and request responses indicating corrective actions taken by specified date.

Essential Functions:

?Select sample of loans from DBOR for each business unit based on production volume
?Audit files from Virpack by completing HMDA Review Worksheet for each loan audited
?Indicate Virpack page number of document used to answer each question on checksheet
?Prepare report of findings and issue to each business unit for response within 10 days of issuance
?Complete follow-up with business units not responding within 10 days, advising responses due in 1 more day unless extension granted
?Review responses to ensure all exceptions addressed
?Advise Compliance Dept/HMDA Coordinator that corrections have been made and to re-run LAR
?Review updated LAR from each business unit to ensure changes have been made
?Issue final report results to senior management along with trending results
?Update trending results each quarter and issue report of results by business unit
?Assist with special QC projects as needed


Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

?Knowledge of origination/application process, Loan Quest and WALA
?Knowledge of HMDA reporting requirements
?Knowledge of Virpack system and reviewing documents
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write reports
?Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word


Abilities:

?Good planning and organizational skills
?Good decision making, ability to make judgment calls
?Good interpersonal skills
?Work independently

Training and Experience:

?1-2 years production experience in loan processing or Post Closing review of origination documents
?Prior HMDA data collection knowledge preferred
?1-2 years college or Associate?s degree preferred
