FINANCIAL SYSTEM & BUSINESS ANALYST

 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Work with Finance and Engineering departments to develop system controls and audits to ensure accuracy of system inputs and outputs.
? Develop repeatable, automated audit processes of system inputs and outputs.
? Develop and implement business metrics reporting.
? Perform ad hoc and monthly analysis on financial results as well as non-financial metrics of the business.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Integrate with Development organization to understand the Company?s software product and work cooperatively to develop and track a system of controls and processes to help ensure the accuracy of system inputs and outputs.
? Develop both automated and manual audit reports of systems input and output.
? Provide input on process improvements to enhance reporting.
? Work with executive management to help define and prepare periodic and adhoc metric reports
? Perform other analysis as needed. Other analysis may include the management of special projects sponsored by executive management, coordination with other departments to explain financial or metrics information or to obtain data for reporting purposes.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
****Must have audit and control experience.****
? Strong system analysis and process analysis skills.

? Prior experience in system audits.
? Expert level knowledge of Excel and demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, research and presentation creation.
? Must have very strong Access and SQL (Structure Query Language) skills. (Will be writing extensive SQL queries)
? Experience with the data warehouse concept, databases and reporting tools is a plus.
? Ability and desire to understand complex database structures.
? Experience developing business and system metrics is a plus.

? Experience developing system and financial controls in support of Sarbanes Oxley. (SOX)
? Ability to effectively summarize and present information.
? Ability to clearly communicate in non-technical terms.

? Ability to support ad hoc information requests and analyses, in an environment of short lead times and the need for fast turnaround.

? Motivated, highly effective team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:
? SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) experience

? Working knowledge of various data analysis and reporting tools a plus (e.g. Business Objects or similar business intelligence tools.)

 

 


EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
? BS MIS, BS Finance or accounting and/or MBA degrees or other equivalents.
? 5-7 years experience supporting reporting requirements for a department (Finance, Exec Management, Sales, Marketing, etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Significant computer work will be required.
