Quality Control Assistant

  Ace Mortgage Funding, Inc., the Midwest's largest mortgage broker is looking for a quality control assistant for its corporate office.  The function of the Quality Control Assistant is to take an in-depth look at appraisals and borrower information prior to and after the closing of a loan.  Duties will include reviewing preliminary title, escrow instructions, deed of trust, comparing 1003 and 1008 applications with the information in the file, checking appraisals, confirming VOE as well as reviewing underwriting conditions.  The Quality Control Assistant is also responsible for the post quality control audit on 10% of brokered files on a monthly basis and reviewing 10% of all banking files post-closing.

 

Requirements are as follows:Familiarity with requirements of TIL, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA and other state/federal laws and regulations affecting mortgage lending. Familiarity with and understanding of requirements and contents of documents and disclosures in loan files (e.g. GFE, TIL, Statement of Denial, Notes, Mortgages, etc.). Ability to effectively multi-task with minimal supervision Excellent writing skills Meticulously attentive to detail Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and branch/field personnel Computer literate: internet savvy, email capable, competent use of MS Word and Excel
