SUMMARY:

Our client, a sell side investment firm, is seeking a securities analyst to cover the real estate industry. Although hospitality and lodging experience would be ideal, there is potential interest in talented candidates who have followed other real estate property sectors. The firm is in a growth mode and is willing to consider candidates with varying levels of experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with a team of real estate research and securities analysts within specific property sectors (hotels, retail, etc) to analyze market trends and specific publicly traded companies and to assist in writing research reports that are provided to clients of the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as a buy/sell side REIT analyst is ideal, but client will consider individuals working as a financial analyst in related fields such as investment banking or property investment2-8 years relevant experienceExperience in the real estate or hospitality/lodging industryOutstanding analytical and financial skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsMBA or progress toward CFA strongly preferredWillingness to be based in Southern California

COMPENSATION: Flexible depending on experience. Compensation will consist of a base salary and annual bonus
