RUP/ Basel II Business Analyst

Business/Systems Analyst

As a member of the consulting team, the Business/Systems Analyst is responsible for understanding client issues, devising solutions, and applying technologies; all with a keen emphasis on client satisfaction and ROI.

Responsibilities:
The Business and Systems Analyst will be responsible for performing all the activities involved in identifying, conceptualizing, developing, and implementing solutions to our clients business issues. Working in conjunction with other members of the Ascend team, these activities will consist of:

 

?  Engaging clients and conducting research to understand various vertical market segments and business models

?  Working as a member of cross functional teams to help architect solutions. Interfacing with senior client management and business users to map out and document business requirements

?  Translating business requirements into functional specifications

?  Designing, interpreting, or using complex logical data and object models to guide technical design decisions

?  Working hand-in-hand with technical resources to provide insight during solution development

?  Developing and executing testing procedures

?  Working with clients to facilitate solution implementation

?  Functioning as a subject matter, process, and operational expert to conduct end user training

 

Position Requirements:
To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

 Experience with RUP and use case analysis / design methods

? Experience in financial services 

 

?  The ability to gather and document business requirements and technical specifications

?  Prior experience writing and executing testing plans and procedures

?  The ability to function effectively independently or as a member of a cross functional team

?  Comprehensive knowledge of e-Business and Web-based technologies

?  A Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related area

?  5+ years of client facing business or systems analysis experience, preferably in the professional services or consulting industry, 5+ years of experience in the information

technology arena

?  Experience working on complex, full life cycle solution development efforts
