Job description


Responsibilities: Recruiting professional staff, office operations coordination, such as payroll, human-resources, financial tracking using spreadsheets and Quickbooks, travel coordination, inventory, time-tracking, supplies and other activities. Activities include a variety of contact and coordination with highly educated scientific professionals inside and outside the organization, and require the confidence to promote job opportunities with engineering candidates. Training will be provided. This position may be filled either as a full-time or part-time (20 hours/week) position.  It is a temporary position that may lead to a permanent status.  For part-time, this is an ideal position for a parent with school-age children that is remaining professionally active.

 

Requirements:

- Masters degree.

- 3 years of experience in a professional field, such as engineering, science, business, office management, finance, education or other field.

- 20 or 40 hours per week.8:30 ? 5:00 pm business hours.

- People-oriented, personable.

- Independent. Reports to a supervisor, and requires good judgement, self-direction and initiative.

- Reside in the Capital District (Albany, NY).
