Regional Compliance Officer - North

Sigue Corp. is a leading provider of money transfer services for consumers sending money from the U.S. to Latin American countries, including Mexico. The company is located in the City of San Fernando, California.  We are currently looking for a Regional Compliance Officer - North.

This position will ensure Agents are in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, special state programs, Geographical Targeting Orders, and any other anti-money laundering/anti-terrorist laws applied to Money Services Businesses.

 

The Regional Compliance Officer will supervise a team of Territorial Compliance Officers (TCO) in their area who provide anti-money laundering training and guidance to their Agent base; training includes assisting Agents to develop and implement their Anti-Money Laundering Program in compliance with applicable law requirements.

 

This position will manage and report their TCO team's evaluations of Agents' Anti-Money Laundering Programs through on-site Program Review reports and follow-up with required corrective measures.

 

The Regional Compliance Officer is a home-based position, preferably located in a major Midwest U. S. metropolitan area (e. g. Chicago, Milwuakee, Detroit).  Reporting to the corporate office when required is also expected. 

 

Summary

 

Position Job Responsibilites include:
Ensure Sigue Agents are in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and Sigue anti-money laundering policy and procedures.
Supervise field team of Territorial Compliance Officers.
Coordinate and follow up Agent Program Reviews
Collaborate on special Compliance Department projects.




 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency
Computer Literate in MS Environment, specifically in Excel.
Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to act as liaison between Field Team & Management.
Excellent leadership skills with ability to direct a Regional Field Team.
Ability to structure assignments from home office, work independently from home office and create meaningful reports for management.
