Regional Sales Manager, UBS Home Finance

The Regional Sales Manager provides the primary management for the distributed sales force within UBS Home Finance. They are responsible for the recruiting, development and on-going management of wholesale lending Account Executives within a geographic territory in order to meet specific volume based goals. They are tasked with creating sales strategies appropriate for their region based on an in depth knowledge of the local areas under their supervision. Additionally, they will work with the National Production Manager in the development of the overall business strategy for UBS Home Finance. They have primary responsibility for the training of Account Executives. This is achieved through recurring visits to local areas where Account Executives are based as well as through on-going phone and email interaction. Through the in-market visits, they will assist in ensuring clients meet and maintain established loan delivery standards, while in turn provide UBS Home Finance with important information regarding the effectiveness of our offering. It is also expected that the Regional Sales Manager will keep abreast of territory demographics, economic conditions, and competitor attributes and provide input to UBS Home Finance management as necessary.

The Regional Sales Manager is expected to spend between 2 to 3 business days per week carrying out those duties that require them to be in designated markets.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Recruit Account Executives as necessary in order to ensure adequate sales coverage within designated territory.
- Provide on-going supervision for distributed sales force through a combination of production report reviews, continuous email and phone interaction, and regularly scheduled territory visits.
- Assist senior management in the development of long-term business strategies.
- Maintain on-going contact with client sources to enhance the flow of information between the client base and the home office.
- Provide on-going training for Account Executives with regard to general sales techniques and UBS specific advantages.
- Maintain reports are required by UBS Home Finance management
- Participate in regional mortgage banking professional organizations and represent UBS Home Finance at designated trade shows/conferences.

Basic Qualifications
5 years experience in the mortgage business.
3 years in wholesale or correspondent lending.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
The successful Regional Sales Manager will be self-directed with strong communicative (both presentation-based and written) skills. They must possess excellent interpersonal skills, as the majority of their time will be spent inter-acting with Account Executives and clients. Candidate must be comfortable in both small and large group settings. They should be highly fluent in all mortgage originations processes and loan delivery executions.
