Relationship Manager (CIBM)

Job Description: Overall Summary of the Job: Candidate will assist in management of the Group’s relationships with portfolio (40+) of foreign bank clients in the U.S., including generation of idea/value-added financing and service solutions, and coordination of credit risk management requirements for portfolio companies, working closely with other Analysts, Relationship Managers, and the Sector Head.



Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Pro-active marketing (client calling) to cross-sell predominantly CIBM & GTB (Global Transaction Banking) products as well as other niche products to a portfolio of foreign bank offices, principally in New York. Will require contact with General Managers, Operations Managers, Treasury and other senior officers in coordination with HSBC product specialists. New business goals and objectives will be established.




Support HSBC Group GRM’s and needs of CB client banks not represented in the US. This includes receiving overseas visitors from banks and marketing/facilitating foreign bank business booked with HBUS.




Attend industry forums and functions representing the Group with the highest ethical standards.




Active and timely use of ClientVision in recording client activities and tracking of revenue generation through HORIS.




Arrange/coordinate product meetings and presentations for visiting delegations of client banks.




Arrange/coordinate training attachments for officers of client banks.




Prepare/submit credit proposals in support of business opportunities identified.




Recommend/support credit applications submitted by product areas for portfolio names.




Facilitate establishment of credit, traded markets and other documentation as necessary in support of client business.




Fulfill CB functional KYC/Compliance and Credit related requirements (i.e. allocation of HBUS credit lines for clients).




Assist in projects and other assigned duties as required.
