Repossession Specialist

Credit Acceptance is seeking to fill a Repossession Specialist position for our call center located in Henderson, Nevada. 

 

TITLE:  Repossession Specialist

HOURS:  Monday - Friday:  8:00am - 5:00pm, one late night per week (10:00am - 7:00pm) and 1/2 Saturday per month with a 1/2 day off during that week.

 

Purpose:

The major purpose of the Repossession Specialist is to assist the department in the collection of past due accounts and assist agents in repossessing.  They are responsible to counsel customers for up-to-date payment arrangements on all incoming and outgoing phone contacts.  By applying communication, negotiation, customer service, skip tracing and collection skills, the Repossession Specialist leverages the repossession order into payments or locates the vehicle for repossession.

 

The Repossession Specialist is expected to prevent the account from entering a Recovery phase either by payment or vehicle pickup.  The Repossession Specialists provide input to assessing repossession agent performance and coverage abilities. 

 

General Duties:

q Utilize the preview dialer system to resolve accounts (cancellation or repossession) within 21 days by locating and contacting customers for payment

q Utilize the predictive dialer system to resolve and update accounts

q Processing RRV accounts and sending repossession assignment to agents

q Communicate with repossession agents to give or receive updates on accounts

 

 

Background Requirements:

q High school diploma required

q Previous customer service/collection experience strongly preferred

q CT Vision experience preferred

q Experience in the finance or automotive industry a plus

 

 Abilities and Skills Profile:

q Internet and PC literate

q Ability to operate office equipment?copy machines, fax, telephone, keyboard 

q Ability to talk and type at the same time 

q Good documentation, writing and speaking skills

q Good negotiation, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills

q Ability to maintain a satisfactory attendance record

q Must be able to wear a headset, sit and talk on the phone for up to 90% of a work day
