Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc., is a Rochester, NY based asset management firm with 12 billion in assets under management and over 35 years experience.  We are currently recruiting for an individual who has a passion for the equity markets to work in our Research Office located in downtown St. Petersburg, FL.

Summary:

This is an entry-level position that provides an opportunity to gain exposure to the investment research process for individuals interested in a career in Equity Research. 

The Research/Project Assistant is responsible for assisting sector groups with their information and project needs.  This individual will develop expertise in various information databases, such as Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis, to become a primary resource for information searches within their groups. This position will provide exposure to the Research processes and will give the successful candidate an opportunity to work hands-on with specific sector teams.

Key Responsibilities:

-  Handling information requests from analysts and others in firm
-  Tracking monitoring points for various holdings
-  Maintaining weekly agendas and spreadsheets for groups
-  Coordinating broker visits and meetings
-  Running macro-economic indicators
-  Various projects as assigned by sector group members and supervision
-  Some administrative functions necessary to maintain research office
-  Attend weekly sector team meeting and take and distribute notes

Qualifications:

A Bachelor?s degree with a concentration in Finance/Economics or related field along with a strong record of academic achievement.  Excellent communication and presentation skills with additional emphasis on analytical skills.  Strong interest/passion for the equity markets.  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word software programs is strongly recommended.
