Position Description:

Job Duties:
Implement risk management strategies to identify, measure, analyze, mitigate and monitor risks across a private placement portfolio held by both internal & external clients. Execute credit and financial risk analysis of transactions. Monitor overall portfolio performance and identify issues that may impact both short and long-term business strategies. Assess potential business development opportunities (new asset classes, structure or markets) and develop appropriate measurement indicators to monitor performance. Provide credit risk assessment of transactions and approve/decline all new potential investments. Participate in the execution of Fixed Income Securitization, including collateral selection, documentation, rating agency negotiations, annual rating re-certification and performance monitoring. Work with Investment Managers and Risk Leaders to drive a harmonized approach to risk monitoring. Direct the development of a web-based portfolio monitoring system. Participate in the evaluation, selection and monitoring of external managers. Remain proactively current on industry regulations. Identify emerging issues and ensure company policies are in compliance. Direct and supervise Risk Assistant for portfolio performance reporting and other ad hoc portfolio analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent or Chartered Financial Analyst and 2 years of professional experience as Risk Analyst, Industry Analyst, and experience in corporate credit risk and deal approval authority in a private placement or bank lending environment and fixed income securitizations; and experience in evaluating external Portfolio and Fund Managers, monitoring their performance and harmonizing external and internal reporting.
