Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience in Small Business underwriting, with credit /lending.
Strong financial analytics.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Formal Credit training preferred.
Self-starter with ability to act independently in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Experience with making quality decisions on small business loan applications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Personal Computer literate.
Experience with commercial loan and commercial real estate financing.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily underwriting of Small Business Lines of Credit, Term Loans, Business Visa and Overdraft facilities within the Citizens Bank foot print up to total committed credit of $500,000. Analyze Small Business Loan/Line applications and make lending decisions within appropriate service standards. Analyze and evaluate federal income tax returns and financial statements submitted in connection with loan proposals. Review and sign off on Small Business real estate appraisals, titles and environmental reports completed in connection with Small Business Real Estate loans. Ability to understand and utilize Small Business underwriting system (CMSI).  Maintain current on product knowledge of Small Business Products, pricing and SBA policies and procedures.
Provide superior levels of customer service to customers, Business Banking Officers and branches.  Ability to discuss and defend lending decisions to Business Bankers and discusses procedures necessary to process the loan application.  Incorporate program changes, SBA policy and procedure changes and pricing into loan decisions and accurately document those decisions into CMSI system with appropriate comments.  Provide appropriate feedback to Hot Line employees and be able to respond to inquiries regarding all facets of departmental operations.  Monitor the credit applications process for compliance with state and federal regulations governing credit and Small Business Lending.  Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Citizens Small Business credit policy. Keep up to date with regulatory and compliance training sessions.
