Sales Associate - 401(k) Products Department
Join the 401(k) Products, Sales Development Team to help support and train Smith Barney Financial Advisors in the sales and service of 401(k) and other qualified plan product services.
Assist assigned Divisional Sales Director(s) in all aspects of their responsibilities including:
- Scheduling branch and individual Financial Advisor presentations
- Regional /divisional meeting planning - includes site search, contract negotiations, agenda
development,inviation cordination, compliance review on-site execution, billing etc.
- Dissemination of ideas/information to Financial Advisors through regular e-mail and mailingsSupport other Divisional Sales Directors and Specialists when necessary Provide sales and marketing support via the phone for Financial Advisors and prospects including assistance with product selection and plan design considerations Troubleshooting guidance and suggestions on specific client situations and referral of the Financial Advisors to the appropriate service provider for resolution as necessary Provide feedback to Marketing and Product groups regarding service and product enhancement opportunities
The ideal candidate will come from a 401(k) focused sales desk or 401(k) product management area at a Mutual Fund or Insurance Company.
B.A/B.S required Licenses:- Series 6 or 7 (if not, must obtain within the first 12 months of employment).
- State insurance license (if not, must obtain within the first 18 months of employment) 2-5 years related retirement experience Excellent communication skills Microsoft Office proficiency
