Sales Executive, Investment Banking

We are actively seeking a Sales Executive for our Investment Banking sales team in San Francisco. This is a direct sales, quota carrying position offering base salary, commission and bonus. The position will be responsible for selling all of Thomson's Investment Banking products. Due to the nature of the product, the role requires extensive product and domain knowledge in Investment Banking space.

The incumbent of this role will: Be responsible for new business development. Develop and execute and/or assist in the development and execution of presentations and product demonstrations. Identify and qualify new prospects across all territories. Conduct need/solutions analysis. Represent products that require deep domain knowledge or product knowledge. Develop and maintain a database (sales pipeline) of potential and existing account penetration for sales management. Prepare timely and accurate client/account activity summaries and sales forecasts for management's review. Provide lead generation where warranted.The nature of this position mandates that this team player will be extremely outgoing, aggressive and technically competent in the workings and understandings of the Thomson One Product suite and the financial services/investment management industries.

This position resides in San Francisco and requires limited travel.

Qualifications

This position requires an individual with experience in selling specialized complex technical products and/or services. The position specializes in a single product or product line. Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA or Masters preferred Minimum of 4 years of experience in direct selling of enterprise solutions to business level decision makers Preference of at least 7 years sales experience in banking, sell-side research or private equity space Demonstrated track record selling sophisticated investment banking solutions to the investment banking community Strong knowledge in Investment Banking Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus Proven ability to be a self starter and the ability to drive the sales process within assigned accounts, regardless of road blocksThe Thomson Financial Culture
