Senior Account Executive, Wealth Management Services / Pension Plans

The Investment Advisory Services department at our client firm in Cambridge, MA specializes in supporting the full range of wealth management activities from financial planning to investment management activities of our private clients and their families. This department seeks a successful sales representative who will be focused on acquiring new, mid-sized institutional clients and generating additional business from existing clients. 

 

Responsibilities: Business DevelopmentBe able to call upon existing clients or build a book of business through networking, referrals and other creative methods.Screens new prospects, probing and profiling to uncover opportunities and prospect interest Cross-sells solutions to identified opportunities from other Divisions within the companyPursues other client opportunities beyond the Advisory line of business

 

Client service support:

Works with other members of the team to follow-up on:Ongoing financial planningClient performance reviewsRecommending additional asset categories and investment vehicles to enhance client returns and/or provide better diversification, including alternativesAids with the selection and fit of investment strategies with the particulars of any individual client.Participate in internal team meetings to strategize and review existing and new case opportunities.



Requirements: Bachelor degree required.  Three to five years demonstrated success in prospecting for new clients and providing tailored client-specific solutions. Must have rolodex of contacts in New England or be prepared to produce a business plan for how to build a book of business.  Knowledge of Insurance Products, and DB/DC and 401K Plans is desirable.Strong communication, influence and leadership abilities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills.  Team player.  NASD Series 7, 63 and 65 (or Series 66) required (or to receive within first 3 months).
