Senior Analyst - Investment Services

Fortigent is a Rockville, MD based business-to-business provider of outsourced wealth management solutions to a select number of banks, trust companies, registered investment advisors, and ?break-away brokers?. Fortigent offers a comprehensive platform including investment research, manager search, selection, and monitoring for traditional and alternative investments, proposal generation and rebalancing tools, consolidated performance reporting, and practice management advice. Fortigent is an affiliate company to Lydian Wealth Management, a high net worth wealth advisory firm, and to Windermere Investment Associates, an alternative investment consulting firm targeting institutions and ultra-high net worth families. Fortigent and its affiliates advise on more than $10 billion in assets.

 

Fortigent?s research department selects and monitors investment products from high quality institutional money management firms.  Products include traditional and alternative investments structured as separate accounts, mutual funds and commingled funds.  The research department is growing rapidly and has an immediate need for a Senior Analyst, Investment Services to be located in Fortigent?s Rockville headquarters. 

 

For this newly created position, Fortigent seeks a process-oriented professional to develop the investment service activities within the research department.  Investment Services activities are focused on providing timely and accurate reports and information on investment managers to external advisors using Fortigent?s platform.

 

The Senior Analyst, Investment Services will be responsible for:

 Overseeing the production of ?deliverables,? including investment reports on external managers.Serving as an information resource to external Fortigent advisors.Managing the data administration process and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of portfolio and performance data within proprietary databases systems.  Updating databases and proprietary systems with performance, holdings and fee information for separate accounts, mutual funds and commingled funds (including hedge funds). Developing internal solutions and controls to improve the accuracy of investment reports and the efficiency of the process.

 

Successful candidates will have following:

 Bachelor?s Degree.3-5 years experience as a product specialist, data manager or operations specialist within a large mutual fund company, wrap program sponsor or institutional money management firmExtremely detail oriented and process-oriented work practices.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Advanced technical skills including databases and spreadsheets.Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently define and solve problems. Experience with Factset, PerTrac, Mobius, PSN, eVestment, and/or Principia databases.Effective written and verbal communication skills.An interest in working in a team environment.Initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
