Senior Associate/RFI Project Manager, Content Management Group

Position Summary:Senior Associate/RFI Project Manager

The Content Team is a unit of Client Communications responsible for centralized management and development of firm-related content.  The Team has developed and manages a consolidated knowledge base that is utilized as a foundation for compiling an array of marketing materials with a primary emphasis on responses to client Requests for Information (?RFIs?).  The Team also produces and manages standard and customized marketing presentations, white papers, topical communications, custom client reports, educational materials and various internal communications related to our firm?s processes, products and services.

 

The Project Manager will primarily focus on the management of RFI and custom presentation projects.  The position demands a high degree of collaboration within the team and typically entails frequent interaction with other business groups across the firm (e.g., Institutional Client Group, Investment Operations, Legal, Research, Risk Management and Information Technology).  Most projects will be deadline-oriented in support of client retention, expansion or acquisition.  A successful candidate must ultimately learn about disparate aspects of the firm, its business and investment process in specific detail.

 

The Project Manager?s responsibilities and essential job functions will include, but are not limited to, the following:

? Manage RFI from receipt of questionnaire to completion.  Follow and ensure adherence to RFI process by all involved parties.

? Conduct initial research/assessment of the project, its context and level of difficulty/resource allocation

? Manage production of a draft RFI response?this may involve delegation of responsibilities

? Coordinate strategy sessions, content review, and other meetings related to the project (as needed)

? Draft and/or edit content, or work closely with experts in other business units to respond to new, unique or complex questions

? Edit/proofread final RFI to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, quality/consistency of messaging and compliance with internal policies

? Support the development and expansion of the content database by identifying, drafting/editing and adding new information.

? Assist with the development of marketing materials, managed via Quellos? proprietary internal web-based platform, and gain familiarity with underlying data workpapers.  May involve some analysis of marketing efforts through pre- and post-production evaluation reports.

? Understand and enforce legal compliance rules as applied to written communications and information dissemination.

 

Professional  

Qualifications: 

The candidate must exhibit intellectual curiosity, analytical aptitude and a capacity to quickly grasp complex concepts and associated details.  Desirable prior experience or education may include emphasis or specialization within certain areas of the financial markets (e.g., research, sales, consulting, accounting/operational and legal).  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are also preferred. Other required skills or attributes include conscientious and meticulous attention to detail, disciplined organization and project management, the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems, an ambitious work ethic and professional acumen.  Comprehensive understanding of MS Office Suite is required, with particular emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Pragmatech?s RFP Machine software would be highly beneficial.  Two to four years of relevant work experience in investments, financial markets or management consulting is preferred.

 

Other desired characteristics:

? Prior experience or education in the fields of finance, investments, economics, statistics, sales/marketing, editing and/or consulting.

? CFA charter holder (or in progress, for example having taken and passed Level I or II).

? Ability to multi-task, balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.

? Team player who can work with a fair degree of autonomy and exercise prudent judgment.

 

 

Compensation:In addition to an annual base salary and an opportunity for equity

in the firm, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive cash compensation in the form of a discretionary annual bonus, based both on individual merit as well as entity-wide profitability.  The firm also provides a generous benefit package including medical, dental and vision benefits, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability benefits, as well as a 401(k) Profit Sharing Program.
