Senior Business Financial Analyst
Senior level consultant to serve as Chief Financial Officer for the assigned business segments to provide analysis to enable the Line of Business leadership to maximize shareholder value. Maintain and manage all relevant financial information and data for the business segments ranging in size from $100MM to $675MM of revenue. Possess deep knowledge of the customers, products, costs, markets, economic/political conditions and business strategy of the Line of Business. Develop strategic metrics for the performance of the unit, and provide proactive modeling, analysis and recommendations regarding all financial aspects of the line of business. Work collaboratively with all functional areas of the Line of Business to ensure revenue/cost/profit objectives are achieved through Total Cost of Ownership model. This position works on a day-to-day basis with the Line of Business managers, Line of Business organizations, Finance department and the Vice Presidents of the Packaging Resources Group.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Financial modeling and profitability analysis to support decisions on product development, production scheduling and customer contract development.
Support the business planning process by developing detailed forecasts and analysis. Manage the development of the LOB strategy and annual plan.
Coordinate quarterly forecasting with LOB and mill business analysis departments.
Monthly review, preparation and delivery of financial performance versus key metrics.
Develop financial objectives for the segment ? grades, customers, location-specific. Ensure accuracy and relevance of data; analyze and report on key results indicators.
Develop business-specific database for the evaluation of financial health of the Line of Business and as a basis for making decisions to maximize shareholder value.
Identify and drive initiatives to improve LOB profitability
Track contribution of commercial productivity initiatives; report on progress.
Collaborate with Marketing to analyze competitive advantages and position versus competitors.
Educate and develop financial knowledge and business acumen for all LOB members
REQUIREMENTS:
A combination of technical skills and business acumen are a necessity.
MBA is preferred
5-10 years experience in manufacturing, finance, or commercial operations
Commercial Analysis knowledge and experience
Ability to look at issues from both a customer and operations perspective
